Poly

poly, also known as polesuba or yotsubrah, was the former developer and admin of soygem.party. Despite joining the development team only recently, poly's time on the site was already filled with controversies and conspiracy theories from the userbase.

History

Poly expressed interest and consideration for a position as a developer in the shemmy after Codefag, the former developer of the shemmy, announced his leave and the need for a new developer. After discussions with the staff, poly was hired and added a new and fixed soyquote button along with the option to strip filenames. Poly held a Q&A under the name poly, and during the time he was offline, users noticed his name closely resembled Pollyanna's (also known as Red on the sharty) and immediately went full-on schizo mode, claiming Red had become a developer of the shemmy who was trying to accomplish another Soypocalypse. Angeleno later redirected the site to The Ribbit Rally after hearing the allegations, causing the shemmy to go even more rogue. Poly later cross-posted on a few sites, claiming that it wasn't him who caused the redirect and denied multiple times that he was Red. He was stripped of server access ever since. Vadim later cleared out all allegations against poly and referred to him as "he", making it seem that the developer was none other than a tranny.

Avatarfagging

Poly was well known for avatarfagging as Yotsuba and also occasionally avatarfagged as Chito or Yuuri from *Girls' Last Tour*. This practice of consistently using these characters as his identity in posts received mixed reactions from the community. For some, his avatarfagging was seen as a red flag, leading to further rumors and accusations about him being trans. While some users appreciated it as a nostalgic reminder of the site's earlier days, when avatarfagging with recognizable characters was a more common aspect of the shemmy's culture.

Identity

Poly's identity was a subject of intrigue and controversy within the community. Following his rise to the development team, he faced accusations of being Red, a wildly-known infamous figure on the soysphere who was one of the main causes of the Soypocalypse. This speculation intensified when Vadim referred to poly as "he", leading to further confusion regarding his gender identity. Despite these references, poly consistently maintained that he was male and not trans, THOUGH we couldn't trust anything he said, and it was funnier this way.

polybaiting

Polybaiting referred to the practice of intentionally provoking and trolling poly. Baiting him was very easy and simple. The following list outlined some popular methods of polybaiting:

• Calling him trans
• Calling him a twink
• Referring to him with he/him pronouns
• Referring to him as Sobot
• Accusing him of being Red
• Expressing a desire to have sex with him
• Saying that he's built for BBC
• Falseflagging as him
• Insulting Poland
• Insulting white people
• Making any statements perceived as homosexual by him mixed pronouns all over this page because I have no idea what this monstrosity of a person even is anymore
